4. Our Surveying Services
4.1 Scope of Services
Our property surveys, valuations and advisory services are provided in accordance with the relevant RICS standards and guidance notes current at the time of instruction. The scope of each service is set out in the specific Terms of Engagement issued to you prior to commencement.
4.2 Quotes and Fees
Quotes provided via this website or by telephone or email are indicative and subject to confirmation based on inspection of the specific property. A fixed fee will be confirmed in writing before any instruction is accepted. Fees are payable in full prior to release of the survey report, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel an instruction prior to the survey being carried out. If cancellation is received with less than 48 hours' notice before the scheduled inspection, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed fee may be charged to cover pre-survey work and preliminary research already completed. Cancellations must be made by email to info@hammersmithsurveyors.com.
4.4 Survey Reports
Survey reports are produced solely for the benefit of the named client. They must not be relied upon by third parties (including mortgage lenders, other buyers, or sellers) without our express written consent. Reports remain our intellectual property and must not be reproduced in whole or in part without permission.
4.5 Limitations
Our surveys are visual, non-invasive inspections. We do not open up structures, lift floorboards, or test drainage, electrical or mechanical systems unless specifically agreed and stated in the Terms of Engagement. Our reports reflect the condition of the property at the time of inspection only.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, images, graphics, logos, icons, design and code — is owned by or licensed to Hammersmith Surveyors Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
